Gigantic was a free-to-play shooter-MOBA released on Xbox One, Windows 10, and PC via the Steam/Arc game clients. Starting as a QA intern, I was eventually promoted to a contract QA specialist. Alongside another QA specialist, I owned the testing for Gigantic's Progression systems. This included creating test passes for Fortune Cards and the tutorial, and thoroughly testing cards, badges, and the tutorial both in the client and on the backend admin systems. I also took the initiative to conduct a studio-wide survey focused on Progression feedback, which garnered a lot of useful data.
In addition to my QA duties, I attended design syncs and regularly provided feedback to the design team via the internal playtest blog. I regularly participated in daily playtests, earning a spot as one of the top 5 players in the studio.
Prior to the studio-wide layoff, I participated in lore brainstorming sessions and drafted a few VO scripts for some of the game's heroes. After the studio reopened, Motiga contracted me to refine and create additional drafts, along with passes at flavor text. Below is a document containing the vast majority of my work, shared with permission. The document is also accessible via Google Drive.
